Jazz is an artistic-musical manifestation originating in New Orleans, Chicago and New York, in the United States. Such a manifestation would have appeared around the beginning of the 20th century in and around New Orleans, having, in popular culture and in the creativity of the black communities that lived there, one of its most important development spaces.​​​​​​​
