“The development of the brand for the Architecture department was a very important step, not only for the university but also for the academic community”
Coordinating Professor Department of Technology and Urbanism Ivanoe Cuto
“This project was one of the most important since the Une-design project was founded, as we were developing a brand for one of the main departments of one of the best University in the country”
Project Coordinator Une-Design Cibelle Sitta
When we started the projects to develop the brand, we took into account the cultural aspects that the university already had, which are very striking and strong and that would bring greater identity and harmony to the project.
The final brand developed, brings a geometric aspect that is something very present in the field of architecture, and its negative spaces are a representation of the building of the architecture department.
Some departments of the UEL campus were already conducting semiannual publications of scientific journals in which they showed and helped to disseminate academic work and research and conducting some research with architecture students, they felt this need to publicize their work and research and for this, we developed a scientific magazine for the department and its respective brand.
In order to bring a more compatible communication and also not lose its essence, we decided that the magazine and department brand should communicate in some aspect, and the final result was something that surprised our expectations.
The architecture department's brand is formed by geometric concepts and a representation of the official UEL brand, it is also present in the brand of the scientific magazine Sophie in a direct way, thus making a connection mark.
